In the 1980s, a trauma committee was set up with the departmental superiors from all the departments that participated in the acute traumatology. Consensus was arrived on the diagnosis and treatment of multi -raa patients. This was enshrined in the first Traumemanualen in 1984. Traumemanualen was revised and published as a small book in 1989. As the first short method book in Initial Traumatology in a Scandinavian language, it was widely used. While the principles of treatment have changed little, the organization at the hospital has been different. New trauma manual came in 1999 after renewed, broad review in a trauma selection. After that, Traumemanualen has been revised several times.
